Burning Wolfhound starts in Goa, India 2008 where a Bernhart Smith relates a story to another. The scene switches to the North Norfolk Coast in Blakeney, UK in 1968 where his story begins. After after two important people to him are murdered by gangsters he chases them across the world in the Wolfhound to India. These leads to an explosive end.
Codename picks up the narrative in Goa in modern times where Bernhart resumes his 1968 story and the chase that continues across India.
