Ford Fiesta XR2 car crash

In May 1998 I left the place I was staying in Attleborough to head to King’s Lynn where I was going to do “Enterprise 2000” which was a front for government loans to new business ventures. I found out later that it wasn’t for me, but I digress. It was a hot day as I was wearing a thin shirt that I’d rarely worn as it was so thin and I’d also always called my “unlucky shirt” as each time I wore it unlucky things happened. It must have been a very warm 7am to leave without a coat.

I’d taken that journey quite a few times. Later I remembered passing two timber lorries while I’d followed another car for some distance. I’d caught up with the lorries after the Stradsett crossroads on the A134. It was on approaching Wormgay on the A134 that it seems I caught up with that car again (she must have got past the lorries easier than I had) and then it seems I tried to overtake on a “sweeping left hand bend”. I didn’t make it and spent the next week in King’s Lynn hospital. The crash and a few days after are missing from my memory.

In the 3rd picture you can see the Peugeot estate that I hit head on.
