20. 2012 Best of: The Collection - Last.fm -
Download HQ (£3)
A compilation of the best bits (that still exist) over the
last 23 years and 20 albums. 2012 is a turning point for him in a new period
of music making: hence a summary of all that went before. Ambient, Drum
and Bass, Space Rock, Psytrance. Dark journeys, wide areas and happy vibes
all mixed into one album.
19. 2012 Dark Vortex - Last.fm
Epic album delving back into the world of virtual synths and vast
soundscapes. Finding new places in Dub, Ambient, Techno and Space Rock.
From the beautiful to the ugly, from the deep to the fast. It is hard to
define an album covering so many areas of thoughtful sounds.
18. 2012 Evil Mind - Last.fm
This album took 12 days to make: drum and bass, trance, electronic,
ambient, techno, Space Techno! It includes vocals by Justin. Two tunes are
a tribute to Andrei Tarkovski, Justin’s favorite director. All tracks
are live recordings. Putting emotion into electronic music!
17. 2012 Connection - Last.fm
A very very ambient album originally recorded as a backing to
a joint spoken meditation CD project that failed to happen.
16. 2012 Magic Batplan - Last.fm
A rather introspective album of ambient techno and very strange
sounds.
15. 2011 Magic Tortoise -

The ambient album originally recorded under the artist name Magic
Tortoise, Justin Tuijl decided to put it under his own name.

Let Justin take you on a journey through ambient worlds of despair and joy!
10. 2011 livefromnorwich -
Last.fm
This album will grow over time with live sets and mixes of
his music. Including: the Spectro hosted gig at the Norwich Arts Center
supporting Hexstatic with a video backdrop of environmental issues; and
his Norwich Greenpeace set part of a celebration of like minded artists
playing for free to raise funds for the new Rainbow Warrior.

Justin Tuijl gets serous with his music output with a gig coming
up in Norwich and no live sets to play he made this album and from this
album onwards has all the presets to play any of his music live. Techno,
Electronic, Drum and bass, Dub, Psytrance.
9. 2010 Spirilina Goa Beach -
Last.fm
Crazy things. Not Goa Trance but the usual strange Justin Tuijl
format of oddness. This is one of the very few P.C. produced albums (well
EP really) with sequenced tracks.
8. 2009 Environmental Army -
Last.fm
Justin Tuijl’s Environmental Army project spills over
into his music making output, well the names of the tracks anyway. The music
is mostly electronic and has nothing to do with the environment but the
names. Three of the tracks were played on the raido. This album was the
turning point for Justin Tuijl focusing on his music professionally as he
had a message to convey.
7. 2008 One -
Last.fm
A selection of trance, dub and drum and bass 2008-9. These
6 tracks were on his myspace profile for a long time, when only 6 were allowed.
The track 'Llama' was the first of his music to be played on the radio.
6. 2007 Half -
Last.fm
This album is some of his older stuff pre 2008, these tracks
were hosted on download.com for sometime and were very nearly lost when
they closed down the service without warning. These were saved by a 3rd
party website. Several were lost. Most are produced from virtual synths.
5. 2002 Inquisition
Techno, drum and bass, ambient techno. Made with a variety of PC
software.
(Lost 90 min tape!)
4. 2000 Eat My Fluid
Playing with sounds in a techno, ambient, drum and bass mold. Made
mostly with Fluid on the Playstation 1
(Lost 90 min tape!)
3. 2000 Up the Revolution!
More techno, ambient and drum and bass.
(Lost 90 min tape!)
2. 1999 Make You Change Your Mind
Continuing a theme of ambient through to techno. Influences are
obvious from the early days of dance music. Mini moog trance and all. Made
with Amiga computer, Playstation and a synth.
(Lost 90 min tape!)
1. 1998 Selected Amiga Classics (1989-1998)
Ambient soundscapes, out of time drum loops and ear splitting techno.
A sometimes scratchy start to computer made music with some freaky moments.
This was a collection of the best bits of many many tunes and a lot of audio
and hardware experimenting.
(Lost 90 min tape!)
