Conservation Experience

Turtle Survival Alliance / Madras Crocodile Bank
Joint survey of soft shelled turtles near Dandeli, India. Leasing with locals, visiting fish markets, interviewing fishermen, trapping turtles. Reporting and photography. Providing support and help to the TSA operative
Itapoa Tropical Rainforest Reserve and Hostel, Ecuador
Identifying, recording and cataloguing species, patrolling perimeter, reducing invasive species, planting, harvesting and preparing coffee and cacao, helping at the hostel with bookings and serving breakfasts. Also now look after the reserve website
RSPB Strumpshaw Fen, Norwich
Taking ticket sales, refreshment sales, advising visitors of facilities and wildlife knowledge, signing up new members, keeping tally of sales and donations2011
Tortoise Welfare UK & Tortoise Club
Keeping runs clean, checking health, administering medications, harvesting weeds for food, cataloguing individuals. Maintaining the websites.
